Andrew Lewis is a computer scientist with interests in 3D scanning & printing, archaeology, and electronics. His interests also include embedded computing, visualization techniques, touch screen technology, and human computer interaction. Andrew is a strong advocate of open-source hardware, software, and skills development. His work on these subjects has been featured internationally in publications as diverse as O’Reilly Make magazine and The Guardian and Observer. Andrew is currently writing up his PhD. research on the Leverhulme Trust funded project “A Collaborative Environment for Assisted 3D Reconstruction of Cuneiform Tablets”. His PhD develops new methods for the automatic, semi-automatic, and manual reconstruction of cuneiform tablets in virtual environments.
